Dsquared2 Fall/Winter 2004 knitted animal dress. An incredibly fun and distinctive dark navy wool knit mini dress, cut with a fitted body, short cap sleeves and a high ribbed turtleneck. The cream jacquard band around the micro-mini skirt is decorated with a row of animal silhouettes, adding a playful, almost folk-inspired contrast to the otherwise sleek shape. This piece perfectly reflects Dan and Dean Caten’s kitschy take on Canadian winter dressing. The runway explored shrunken proportions, cosy knits and exaggerated takes on traditional cold-weather staples—and this dress was even seen on the runway in a striking red colourway.
