Dsquared2 Fall/Winter 2010 runway spine heels. An unforgettable pair of black platform heels with a sharply pointed silhouette, leather insoles and dramatic white rubber heels constructed to resemble a spine. A black ribbon wraps around the ankle, while the sculptural heel turns an otherwise classic platform into something completely surreal. The same spinal-cord motif appeared throughout the F/W 2010 runway footwear in different forms, including knee-high and ankle boots, pumps and sandals. Part of a deliberately provocative collection built around laboratory, anatomy and Frankenstein-inspired imagery, these heels were easily among the season’s most memorable details.
