One of the most incredible pieces in my collection, this Gucci Fall/Winter 2003 runway jacket comes from a season where Tom Ford imagined beauty as a kind of armour. His silhouettes were powerful and exaggerated, built around dramatic collars, sculpted shapes, voluminous fur and a distinctly sensual edge. Rendered in the softest brick-red leather, this jacket features a rich beaver fur collar and sleeves, a rabbit fur-lined interior, two front pockets and intricate leather strap detailing around the cuffs. The tailored construction and polished branded hardware give it the same balance of strength and sensuality that defined the collection — a beautifully engineered piece from one of Gucci’s most memorable Tom Ford seasons.
