This experimental short film explores the parallels between emotional codependency and drug addiction, examining the human desire for pleasure, connection, and escape. Drawing inspiration from Gregg Araki’s ‘Totally F***ed Up’ (1993), the work portrays addiction as both a psychological and emotional form of captivity. Through symbolic acts of destruction, the protagonist attempts to break free from her dependencies, severing ties with both substance use and a romantic relationship. The film captures a moment of transition between attachment and independence, exploring the painful process of reclaiming control and finding inner harmony.
